Diwali is observed by over a billion people worldwide and spans many religions including Sikhs, Hindus, Jains and some Buddhists.​

Diwali has many interpretations, but generally, it is the celebration of the triumph of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance or good over evil. ​

It’s a time of feasts, fireworks, prayer and gift giving. ​
