Royal Centre Is Officially 50 Years Old!

On May 1st, Royal Centre celebrated its 50th anniversary with tenants and retailers!

The intimate gathering allowed people to share their stories of the role Royal Centre played in their history, while some stopped by to learn about the history of the Centre.

Upon completion in 1973, Royal Centre was the tallest building in Vancouver! 😮​⁠

By 1977, it lost this title to Harbour Centre. 😢​⁠
⁠
But, while it’s not the tallest anymore, its modernist design is still an appealing feature of downtown Vancouver’s skyline. 😄​⁠
